There is room for improvement in our San Francisco Bay area society. What can be better? Behavior can be better. Thinking can be better. Feeling, also. Ethics is not a generally accepted concept. The run of people believe that whatever they do is right, that morality is not real. I come from a Lutheran religion background. It seems the clergy of that religion don't really know if there is a Divine person. They simply teach the historical Lutheran beliefs. If the people accept those, they feel part of a community of believers.
I wouldn't be stating any of this if I didn't know of the one solution to all problems.
The one solution to all problems is to transcend thought, to regularly give the mind and body the opportunity to be themselves. I know of no practical technique to do this other than the Transcendental Meditation (TM) technique, founded by His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. It has been scientifically proven to be the one solution to all problems. And the millions of practicers of it have found that to be true in their own lives.
But let's look at one generally considered impossible to solve problem, poverty. It is widely known that a world-wide state of economic affluence is theoretically achievable, but a way to get the wide cooperation to create it has not been known. Most people do not exhibit the ability to serve the interests of society while they are serving their individual interests. Why? Education would have to be the way to give each of us the ability to do that.
Education today is only to enable one to get a job. It doesn't train one how to get only a life-supporting job or how to be life supporting at all.
TM is one of Maharishi's technologies of consciousness. Consciousness is the one thing all of us have identically. Basically everything and everyone is Consciousness. Not only at our basis but at all the levels of our existence. Consciousness is all there is. This can easily be verified by anyone who can think, by learning the TM technique from a certified TM teacher.
The field of consciousness is identical with the unified field, it's just another name for it. The unified field of modern physics is the field of consciousness of ancient Vedic Science. That has been demonstrated conclusively by quantum physicist, John Hagelin, PhD.
Education should make this powerful and wholly life-supporting experience available to every student, if it wants to solve the problem of poverty (or any other long-standing problem).
